Promote Your Work Through Social Media

Maximize the Impact of Your Published Work

Congratulations for having your research published in NAVIGATION! Now that your paper has been published, it’s time to promote. In addition to the myriad of things that ION does to promote your research paper, we also need you to reach out to your professional peers and colleagues to make sure they see, read, and cite your work.

Below are a number of “copy, paste, and personalize” tools for you to communicate to your personal and professional network. Please use these to create additional exposure for your research work.

Guidance for Writing Social Media Posts

Social media is a proven way to enhance the impact and discoverability of your work. Different social media outlets require different formats.

TwitterLogoTWITTER: Twitter is a short and effective way to share your work with your followers. In turn, your followers can then re-tweet it to their followers and expand the reach of your paper exponentially. And by adding hashtags (#) to your tweets, your research becomes searchable based on the keywords you assign to it. Simply copy, personalize, and paste the below tweet into your twitter “What’s happening?” header, assign some #keywords, then press “Tweet.” (280-character limit)

Copy, paste, and personalize this:
