Abstract: | With the development of satellite technology, the performance of positioning, navigation and timing have been prominent improved. Many counties are willing to do their endeavor to make contribution to the significant enterprise, such as global positioning system operated by U.S. , Galileo satellite system launched by Europe and Beidou ( Compass) developed by China. China has made its efforts on research independently to develop own system. Now modernized satellites is working with China Area Positioning System, the first generation of Compass, and will be cooperating for a well according to the roadmap of Compass. The progress and future outlook of Compass satellite navigation system from the view of PNT (Positioning, navigation and timing) systemic engineering is studied in this paper. First, brief introduction will give you the framework of research, and next the progress and history of Compass system are presented. The system description is detailed to better understand the architecture consequently, then PNT service status and outlook are studied respectively. |
