Multi-Constellation RTK with a Software Receiver

Dominik Dotterbock, Sun Jun Ko, Bernd Eissfeller, and Daniel Sanroma Guixens

Abstract: As legacy navigation systems are modernizing and new constellations are planned, RTK receivers have to adapt to this evolution in order to deliver superior performance. The ipexSR, one of the first real-time capable software GNSS receivers, started with a single frequency software defined radio, evolved to a dual-frequency RTK receiver and currently developed towards a multi-system, multi-frequency RTK receiver. This paper shows the results of a real-time kinematic receiver using a multi-constellation multi-frequency software receiver approach. The practical performance analysis of the receiver implementation and the resulting experiences from measurement test campaigns in the German GALILEO Test and Development Environment (GATE) will be presented.
