Abstract: | In this paper, Onboard Orbit Propagator algorithm is introduced and its performance simulation result is analyzed in position and velocity. The OOP algorithm generates reference orbit close to true orbit. The reference orbit was made using Keplerian orbit elements which are generated using position and velocity of true orbit. The reference orbit is simple low order polynomial function that was made using curve fitting method. There exits difference between reference and true orbit. The residual shows periodic characteristics in CW frame. With this characteristic, the residual can be compressed into some coefficients of periodic functions. Orbit reconstruction procedure is simply regenerates reference orbit and residual. The OOP algorithm was optimized for Sun synchronous orbit that is our interest focus in. To verify performance of OOP algorithm, we did numerical simulation using KOMPSAT-2 GPS data and the simulation result shows that accuracy of OOP algorithm is high enough to can be use as backup navigation system in satellite. |
