New Threshold Setting Method of GNSS Signal Acquisition under Near-Far Situation

Y. Liu, T. Jin, H. Qin

Abstract: This paper firstly analysis traditional threshold setting method based on the coherent correlation and non-coherent accumulation detector used in weak satellite signal detection mathematically and statistically, and then two novel threshold setting criteria are introduced. The first method is theoretical criterion with near-far consideration and centered false alarm ratio. The second method takes advantage of real data information to determine the noise level and threshold. Furthermore, an adaptive threshold setting method is discussed to reduce calculation time. Finally, experiments are carried on using real data to evaluate the methods above.
