Abstract: | This paper examines the potential of using Chinese Standard of Digital Television Terrestrial Broadcasting (CTTB) signals under limited GPS signal observability conditions in urban environment for navigation. A hybrid positioning system using both CTTB signals and GPS signals is described. Range measurements between the receiver and the digital television (DTV) towers, optimal utilization of the both GPS and DTV signals, and the hybrid system performance using simulated GPS and DTV signals and comparison of the results with those using GPS-only approach are presented in the paper. |
