Abstract: Chinese LORAN-C system includes BPL long wave timing system and “Chang He 2” navigation system. At present, LORAN-C is irreplaceable as the complement of satellite navigation system. For improving the performance of LORAN-C navigation, time synchronization system of each station of each Chain of Chinese LORAN-C has been developed. In this system, Rb atomic frequency standard and local clock are equipped; via using GPS and COMPASS satellite common view time comparison is realized; via using satellite signal Rb atomic frequency standard is calibrated in real time; via using microwave or CDMA wireless chain common view data after Kalman filtering are transmitted; via using micro-phase stepper the local clock is corrected in real time. The results from experiment show that bias of mean of the time synchronization precision of 1pps (pulses per second) of each station of each Chain of Chinese LORAN-C 1.67ns, variance achieved reach 2.69ns.
