Abstract: | The main challenge in BOC tracking is represented by the presence of multiple peaks in the correlation function. For this reason, several techniques have been designed for solving the multiple-peak ambiguity problem. In this paper, a thorough analysis, characterizing in a cohesive manner the di erent BOC tracking techniques, is provided. Di erent algorithms, such as Pre-filtering, Bump-Jump and Double Estimator are considered and figures of merit, such as Mean Time to Lose Lock (MTLL), tracking jitter, and tracking threshold have been adopted for comparing the di erent tracking methods. A new Pre-filtering algorithm has also been designed. The proposed method equalizes the subcarrier mitigating the noise amplification problem common to standard Pre-filtering techniques. |
