Abstract: This paper introduces NavCom’s software upgradeable 66-channel SF-3050 StarFire™ GNSS receiver. Powered by the Sapphire™ GNSS engine, NavCom’s new SF-3050 receiver is customized to meet the needs of precise positioning. Through software optioning alone, the SF-3050 GNSS receiver can be upgraded in the field from single frequency to multi-frequency, eliminating the need for costly new hardware. The introduction of Over the Air StarFire licensing provides the SF-3050 with decimeter-level position accuracy, anywhere in the world and now truly at any time. The new smaller, lighter form factor also incorporates high-speed I/O components, including Ethernet, Bluetooth™ and USB capability, making the SF-3050 the ideal choice for many applications. The SF-3050 offers patented anti-jamming processing; advanced signal processing techniques, StarFire broadcast licensing, and increased RTK and shading performance. This paper also includes product test results and analysis. Test results show time to first fix with real time clock of 28 seconds. In an open sky and static environment at 26 Km range RTK, one sigma horizontal accuracies are 0.0209 meters for GPS and GLONASS configurations and 0.0245 meters when for GPS alone. Worldwide, standalone StarFire, one sigma horizontal pass-to-pass accuracy is 0.023m.
