Abstract: | This paper demonstrates an efficient fingerprint DB generation method for indoor wireless location based on radio propagation model. The grid points are set first. Then, the RSSs on the grid points are estimated using the radio propagation model. However, the estimated RSSs contains error because of the NLOS signal caused by reflection, diffraction, and scattering of the radio signal due to the obstacles. In order to construct the NLOS error map in the given environment, a small number of measurements are obtained on the known locations. Using the measurements, the error trend is estimated. Then, the whole NLOS error map is constructed using the spatial interpolation method. We call the S/W containing the proposed method as the environment analysis tool. The performance of the proposed method is verified by simulation results. |
