GPS and GNSS in the Future PNT Environment

The Honorable John G. Grimes

Abstract: Future GPS capabilities (and by extension GNSS) are driven by global PNT developments and demands and will require everything from augmenting basic GNSS services to developing sophisticated PNT technologies. Shaping the future certainly won’t be easy. While the problems we face must be carefully considered and the solutions carefully vetted, we share a common goal: continuous PNT service improvement. That’s the vision as we move forward to create a diverse, interoperable set of global PNT services. The challenge – for all of us – is moving forward and making that vision a reality.
