Abstract: | The Global Air Traffic Mobility (GATM) program was established to assure military capability is sustained during the evolving transition to new global aviation architectures. Such a transition requires substantial investments and significant planning effort. While the direction global aviation is taking is quite clear, the specifics are not. These uncertainties pose considerable problems for the planner. We describe the dilemmas faced by GATM and the steps that were taken to ready for future eventualities. |
