Abstract: | To reduce the risk and aid in system's integration testing, we have created a tool that takes modeling and simulation data and provides this data to the users as if it were coming from the (GNSS) receiver systems in real time. Instead of using a RF simulator and corresponding receiver, this simulator allows the users to test their integration software quickly and effectively at orders of magnitude less cost. The system allows the user to test current and future constellations and signals whereby emulating the receiver's messages to other onboard PNT user applications. These messages may include NMEA-0183, ISGPS- 059/150/153, or even data messages to the 1553 data bus. This paper will describe the process of testing applications such as mobile phones, commercial airline, railways, automobile, and military systems. This will help users understand the value of PNT data aiding their application and how easy it will be to add PNT data into their application via the tested interface control documents already being used in by other global navigation satellite systems (GNSS). We will demonstrate how system integrators are currently using the system to test all types of aviation, missile, land, marine, and space PNT users in numerous constrained virtual environments (benign, jamming, etc.) and feed this data directly into their hardware and software systems as if they were actually flying, driving, or diving into that environment. |
