Abstract: | A new timekeeping method of the Quasi-Zenith Satellite System (QZSS), which is called remote synchronization system for an onboard crystal oscillator (RESSOX), has been developed by AIST. We have been developing apparatuses and onboard RESSOX control software for practical experiments since last year. The apparatuses include a frequency transformer, a RESSOX control signal transmitter (RCST), a QZSS/global positioning system (GPS) receiver, meteorological observation equipment, a RESSOX controller, and GPS-Time synchronization equipment. To test these apparatuses, an uplink delay simulator (UDS), a simulator of onboard time comparison unit, a simulator of navigation onboard computer, a simulator of QZSS signal generator, and a 1.5 s pulse generator have been also developed. These apparatuses and their test results are introduced herein. |
