Abstract: | The problems in the future on ship’s collision avoidance are discussed. In congested waters, either collision avoidance on board by mariners or shore-based collision avoidance, it is very important to build suitable evasive plan among the vessels. A decision-making method based on prediction is proposed, which can be useful for individual decision-making, moreover, for actions based on communication between ship to ship or ship to shore. Macro-prediction and micro-prediction, with each has different objectives at different stages in the process of decision-making, are developed. |
