Abstract: | This paper describes the activities performed by the European Satellite Services Provider (ESSP) which has been created in 2001, to operate and qualify the operations of the EGNOS system in preparation of the Safety of Life Services provision to different user communities. It also describes the establishment of the EGNOS system operations organization, the implementation and utilization of the operations processes and procedures as well as describing the management processes used within EGNOS operations with respect to preparation for Safety of Life Services. The EGNOS system is providing wide area differential corrections and integrity information to the European Satellite Navigation Community, delivering enhanced performances for users with demanding navigation requirements. |
