Abstract: | As global navigation satellite systems thrive recently, there are urgent need and demand for integrated modeling of analog circuits such that the system performance can be predetermined. This paper analyzes the errors of mixers and complex filters within the analog front-end, and describes their effects of nonidealities on image rejection, which is an important indicator for the signal quality. It has shown the design considerations for complex filters must take account of not only the out-of-band attenuation but also the components instabilities per se as well. Besides, unavoidable I/Q imbalance of analog mixers exacerbates the situation, hence it is useful to acquire the design tolerance in advance for both mixers and complex filters. |
