Abstract: Before the Galileo satellites are sent into orbit, they must of course be thoroughly tested. Astrium UK is the main contractor for the payload Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) and Siemens Austria is implementing the Payload Test System (PTS) part of the system, which focuses on the RF payload measurements. IfEN contributes a test receiver to the overall system. The test receiver is one of the core components of the PTS. It is a highly specialized version of IfEN’s latest Galileo/ GPS receiver technology. The receiver technology is based on the Artus platform, which is a further development of the GATE receiver. An accompanying paper on the Artus development was also submitted for this conference.
