Abstract: | In this paper we present and assess new simulation results of the new spreading codes, candidate for E5 Galileo band, introduced in [1]. Some issues related to the existing Galileo E5 primary codes, due to truncation from their maximal length, are highlighted. The generation process and previous preliminary assessment of these new codes are briefly reviewed. The new codes are chaotic sequences and are generated based on the tent map. The codes selection procedure is highlighted and some new results on acquisition, tracking, and robustness of the new codes compared to the existing Galileo E5a-I primary sequences are discussed. |
