Abstract: Honeywell continues to be an innovator in the application of micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) for use in projectile, missile and munitions applications. The MEMS sensors are used in gun hard, small, low cost tactical grade inertial measurement units and in guidance and navigation units which include GPS. This paper will outline the inertial measurement unit (IMU) technology being utilized to successfully meet customer needs, and future plans to further advance the state of the art.
