Abstract: | The Core Test Plan (CTP) is a publication designed by a tri-service test agency consortium for the GPS JPO. It is designed to be a thorough list of available and reliable tests to be used in the test and evaluation of GPS receivers (including stand-alone and embedded receivers), INS, and integrated or embedded GPS/INS. The plan, which includes laboratory and field performance, is intended for use by all Department of Defense (DoD) test agencies, and will be freely distributed to any and all agencies and contractors interested in testing these systems. This paper details the contents of the current CTP, and describes how the plan is designed to be used. Future goals and the established schedule are discussed. The research reported in this paper was conducted by personnel of the 46th Test Group (AFMC), Holloman AFB, NM. Opinions, conclusions, and recommendations contained in this article are those of the authors and are not necessarily endorsed by the US Air Force. |
