Abstract: | Galileo offers a signal much more suitable for indoor use that the legacy GPS signal. However the mass-market receiver has major limitations in cost, power and space, and must be introduced to the market very rapidly. Thus a high sensitivity GPS receiver is described, that can be easily extended to Galileo and offer a rapid route to the combined GPS/Galileo receiver for the mass market. Three different new demodulation techniques are discussed, the BxC product for Galileo, Interleaved codes for any signal, and the (B-C) code correlator also for Galileo. |
