Real-Time WADGPS Clock Filter

Tysen Mueller, Jocefyn Richardt

Abstract: Seagull has designed and developed a real-time Wide Area DGPS (WADGPS) software code which estimates the corrections to the GPS Selective Availability (SA) dither errors. In addition, this software estimates the WADGPS network receiver clock bias and tropospheric delay errors. This software was devefoped for Satloc Precision GPS Applications, as interim software, for their commercial Continental U. S. (CONUS) L-Band WADGPS network. The WADGPS Clock Fifter uses the L1 and L2 code and carrier measurements from the L-Band network of (14) Ashtech Z-l 2 reference receivers. In addiion, it uses the precise GPS orbits and inter-frequency bii estimates obtained from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). The measurements are preprocessed to remove the receiver nominal clock errors, the measured ionospheric delays, the inter-frequency bias, and the nominal tropospheric delays, as well to carrier-smoothe the code. The resulting pseudorange residuals serve as inputs to the Kalman filter. The filter states indude the GPS SA dither errors, the net receiver clock bias, and the net receiver tropospherfic delays.
