Abstract: The global positioning system (GPS) provides accurate positioning and timing information useful in many applications. A fixed-point pipelined adaptive filter for the anti-jamming applications will be proposed. The adaptive transversal filter is applied here to accurately predict the narrowband waveform based on a pipelined LMS (PIPLMS) algorithm. A relaxed look-ahead scheme is applied in our design to accomplish hardware savings and high-speed characteristics. Finally, a fixed-point PIPLMS adaptive canceller prototype is successfully implemented on an FPGA ALTERA Stratix EP1S25F780C chip.
