Abstract: | We have developed and tested a new software system for real-time processing of network GPS data. The system encompasses a complete suite of real-time modules for (a) data compression, streaming, and reception, (b) network processing and transmission of results, (c) client point positioning, DGPS, or RTK applications. This presentation will provide an overview of the main features of the software system and focus on its network solution capabilities. The network solution module is called “RTNet” (for real-time network software). This software models the undifferenced observations and uses a Kalman filter or a numerically more stable square-root filter for data inversion. RTNet resolves double difference carrier phase ambiguities with different methods including simple rounding to the nearest integer, lambda, and a local minima search (LMS) OTF technique. RTNet applications are deformation monitoring, tropospheric estimation, the generation of DGPS corrections, the generation of virtual reference station (VRS) data, and the generation of broadcast corrections for network RTK (sometimes called FKP which stands for area correction parameters in German). This paper summarizes the main real-time processing features of RTNet with emphasis on its network RTK features. |
