A Study of Supporting System for Berthing Manuever

Abstract:	The contents of IBS’s support for complicated maneuvers such as a berthing maneuver and a collision avoiding maneuver should be a knowledge based strategy. The support system based on the knowledge strategy is developed for the berthing maneuver. This support system which can appropriately provide ship operators with information they desire make an effective contribution to the berthing :maneuver. Therefore, necessity of the support based on the knowledge based strategy is confirmed.
