Abstract: | This paper presents the current positioning service level for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) in urban environment. As for the research activities, field experiment was performed. In order to evaluate the environment of satellite-based positioning service without the need of actual observations, we developed simulation tool, which can evaluate the practical availability of satellite-based positioning. Furthermore, this paper demonstrates the effects of Quasi-Zenith Satellite System (QZSS) as for the complement positioning technique. QZSS has been proposed as a next-generation satellite navigation system in Japan as a mean to improve poor satellite visibility. |
