Abstract: | This paper describes the design and construction of a dual Navstar GPS/Glonass navigation satellite receiver. The receiver extracts data from a digitally tracked -130dBm satellite signal at L band (1.6GHz). The incoming signal is tracked using a digital Costas loop in conjunc- tion with a full time early-late code tracking loop, to decode the spread spectrum signal. The satellite data is decoded and logged recording a variety of parameters necessary for global positioning and time transfer. |
