Abstract: | Modern air navigational systems offer unprecedented accuracy but are still subject to failure. Crews are neither trained for nor equipped for celestial navigation. This paper describes software that runs on any laptop computer that could enable a crew with no previous training in celestial navigation to derive useful navigational information from celestial observations. The software is available for free download from the author’s website. |
