Impact Of The GPS Orbit Errors on the Multiple Reference DGPS Accuracy

Dariusz Lapucha and Richard Barker

Abstract: This paper presents the results of the study that was carried out to quantify the effects of the orbit errors on real-time multiple reference station DGPS. The influence of the orbit errors was analyzed by comparing the results obtained using broadcast and NGS precise orbits. The GPS data from the nation-wide OMNISTARTM reference network was used in the study. This data was processed in different reference network configurations to simulate different user to reference network geometries. These results will also be compared to standard single reference station DGPS.
