Abstract: | The 1990 AKDOT Georeferencing Project involved the GPS survey of 125 control points using dual and single frequency receivers. The survey was conducted during September 1990 which coincided with a period of unsettled to active ionospheric conditions. The results of the GPS processing show that despite the ionospheric disturbances a 10 ppm network was observed. This paper will explore the differences between single and dual frequency data processing during periods of quiet and unsettled ionospheric activity over identical baselines. Processing and observing techniques which may help the chances of success of future high latitude GPS programs will be discussed. |
