Abstract: | Under the sponsorship of the Department of National Defence @ND), an Advanced Development Model of the Helicopter Integrated Navigation System (HlNS ADM) was designed and implemented by Honeywell Canada’s Advanced Technology Centre. I-ENS ADM was completed in December 1990 and delivered to DND for evaluation. Flight trials of the system, managed by DND and supported by cormactor personnel, were conducted during the first 6 months of 1991 at Holloman and Vandenberg Air Force Bases in the U.S. This paper describes the HINS design and the evaluation flight trial results. |
