Five Years of Absolute Positions at the Naval Surface Warfare Center

Bruce R. Hermann

Abstract: In order to provide an independent evaluation of the Defense Mapping Agency’s @MA) precise ephemerides and clock estimates, the Dahlgren Division of the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCDD) has been periodically collecting dual frequency P-code pseudorange and phase data with a TI4100 GPS receiver. Absolute positions at this site have been computed intermittently over a period of five years with both the broadcast ephemerides and clock estimates received from the satellites, and with the DMA precise ephemerides and clock estimates. The consistency of the results are presented.
