Abstract: | Under contract of the German Ministry of Transport a GPS/GLONASS/INS test program was carried out during 1992. Besides other goals, the aim of the project was to investigate the capabilities of GLONASS in comparison to GPS. The paper will desribe the test procedures and will present some of the results of the trials. This in- cludes the comparison of DGPS with standalone GLONASS and GLONASS/lNS under different dynamic situations, e.g. driving tests, flight tests, and the behaviour of different GPS receivers du- ring the flight tests. The results show the potential of the non-SA- degraded GLONASS and point out that for precision aircraft navigation a carefull selection of SatNav receivers has to be done, especially with respect to dynamic behavior. |
