Abstract: | Integrated GPS/GLONASS navigation of- fers better availability, performance and integrity than GPS-only navigation. The 3s Navigation R-100 family of re- ceivers includes the R-100 and the R- 101. The R-100 is a C/A code integrated GPS/GLONASS receiver. It has a twelve channel capability with each GLONASS satellite requiring one channel and each GPS satellite requiring two chan- nels. The R-100 is therefore capable of simultaneously tracking up to twelve GLONASS satellites, up to six GPS satellites or a combination of both. The R-101 is primarily a four channel dual frequency GLONASS P code receiver. Optional expansion boards allow to in- crease the number of channels and/or to include the R-100 capabilities. Both receivers were designed to meet the needs of a wide variety of users, from the navigator, requiring mainly posi- tion and velocity information to the researcher, requiring detailed raw data. outputs include navigation and time solutions in several coordinate system6 and based on GPS-only, GLONASS- only and integrated GPS/GLONASS con- stellations, as applicable. In addi- tion, raw pseudoranges and integrated carrier phase measurements with associ- ated error characteristics, carrier smoothed pseudoranges, C/NO, satellite ephemeris and almanac are provided. The 35 Navigation receivers are also well suited for operating as a differential reference station. Furthermore, the lack of Selective Availability on the GLONASS system makes these receivers ideally suited for the Time Transfer application. The paper reports on the status of the GLONASS constellation and compares the (unpublished) P code navigation data message to the (published) C/A code message. The architecture and func- tionality of 3s Navigation receivers is discussed and performance results pre- sented. |
