Abstract: | The navigational policy of the states-members of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) is goverened by: -general and economic policy of the Independent States; -character of economical missions and requirements to navigation support for their implementation. New structure of independent states that has formed in the frame of the former USSR and their policy and economical reorientation call for new approaches to navigation support of their economic activities. The reforms in the CIS are directed towards establishing market economics. Their realization depends both upon intrastate needs and interstate cooperation. Relationships of the states in the CIS feature mutual dependence stipulated by their time-proven economic connections. Successful establishing and development of market economics in the CIS demand common ccouomic sp;~c and eficicnt cooperation wuth the world community, This requires sophisticated communication networks and in the first place transportation means. Transportation missions are of great practical and social importance. Increasing dynamic characteristics of transport means and traflic density raise requirements to their safety and thus to navigation support of this class of missions. |
