STRATEGIC: A Multipurpose Time Oriented Station for GPS Users

Abstract:	STRATEGIC’ is the generic name of a family of compact and patented stations developed by IN-SNEC under a CNES* contract with a time transfer oriented design. This transfer can be performed simultaneously on a wide area basis by employing two methods, GPS common view and Two Way processing through geostationary repeaters. It is first intended for the synchronised monitoring of GPS constellation in RGIC projects, although it can also be used for : l general time transfer l GPS time re-construction l ranging of geostationary payloads l determination of wide area differential GPS correction. 1. STations To Radiate Accurate Time for EfIkient GPS These stations will first be used within the framework of an exploratory program led by CNES of on GPS -Overlay. First experimental results are displayed.
