Abstract: | During land navigation experiments using the GPS some effects near power transmission lines were detected at the navigation solution level and are discussed here. In this paper it is presented and registered the measured effects and the related investigations. The phenomenon is not clear and many parameters should be controlled. Some of these were monitored and some other are mentioned for further investigation. The effects are clearly noticed at the navigation solution level (latitude, longitude and altitude) as impulse or step vectors. The only other variable that is sometimes also affected is the carrier phase of one of the satellites used to obtain the navigation solution, and under particular conditions. The investigation is not exhaustive or conclusive but, instead, leads to further deep investigation. |
