Test Results and Analysis of a Low Cost Core GPS Receiver for Time Transfer Application

Michael King, David Busch, Mihran Miranian

Abstract: Test results and analysis of the performance of a 6 channel core GPS receiver for time transfer applications was conducted by comparing its 1PPS output to the United States Naval Observatory MASTER CLOCK (MC) in Washington D.C. More than 240 hours of data were collected and processed to observe the short and long term effects of SA, as well as the effects of the receiver implementation on generating the 1 PPS signal.
