GLONASS P-Code Data Message

Peter Daly and Stuart Riley

Abstract: The two major elements of GNSS, GPS and GLONASS, both employ dual-frequency P-code transmissions for the purposes of eliminating the effect of the ionosphere on signal delay. In GPS, the same data message is carried by both the C/A and P code data messages but this is not the case in GLONASS. The data formats and messages on the GLONASS C/A and P code are compared and contrasted.
