GPS Field Testing - The Untold Stories

Darwin Abby

Abstract: This talk will be an account of events, experiences, anecdotes of a historical nature for the GPS field test activities covering the years 1974 - 1994. There are many untold stories of activities focusing on personal experiences which although were not a part of the final technical report, were a very real part of the end results. The talk will consist of slides and stories having nothing to do with the technical aspects of GPS. The names of the guilty parties have not been changed to protect them.
