Abstract: | New from Litef GmbH of Freiburg, Germany is the LKs91 “smart” 2-axis rate sensor. Simply connect the power supply and fully compensated 2 axis rate data are available at the outputs. Based on DSP technology, this self-contained rate sensor has none of the integration problems associated with more typical “gyro plus electronics card” solutions. Litef has integrated all of the hardware necessary to cage and fully calibrate thCir well-proven K273 gyro into two MCM’s, with the whole package being mounted in one small low cost module. LKS91 is very flexible. Rate data can be supplied either via the analogue outputs or an RS485 SDLC digital serial link. Rate data can also be accumulated at 2 kHz and averaged over a number of samples to provide greater precision. Relative angles can be measured by using accumulated rate data and associated time-tag information. |
