This paper describes a GPS receiver design for
spacecraft attitude determination and its attitude de-
termination algorithms. The receiver is a 3-antenna
lgchannel L1 receiver. The attitude determination
algorithms include an ambiguity resolution module
and a maneuver-adaptive Kalman filter which com-
bines heavy data smoothing (to enhance attitude es-
timation accuracy) with quick response to attitude
changes (“maneuvers”). Tests results obtained with
simulated spacecraft data and real terrestrial data are
presented showing accuracies ranging from |
