Monitoring Differential GPS: Who Will Guard The Guards?

Abstract: Monitoring is currently an important topic in land and marine navigation and positioning. There are several key elements in a successful DGPS system which will be described based on the authors’ association with the continuous development of a commercial Global DGPS Network Service called SkyFix. The paper comprises: definition of the key issues, operational experience, system description, and monitor options available. Conclusions and recommendations are made at the end of the paper.
