Abstract: | The Navigation Message Correction Tables proposed at the ION National Technical Meeting in January 1995 are now included in all GPS satellite uploads. This paper discusses software developed by Rockwell Collins to read and use the corrections in the Miniaturized Airbome GPS Receiver (MAGR) and data taken by the 746 Test Squadron at Holloman which show the accuracy enhancement potential when using these corrections. A comparison is made between the navigation performance of a MAGR modified with software to read and apply the corrections and a baseline MAGR without corrections. Reference data on Observed Range Errors collected from the Holloman AFB Satellite Reference Station (SRS) are presented to support assessment of the navigation data. Data are presented to show navigation enhancement performance as a function of the age of the Correction Tables. |
