Abstract: | This paper outlines Del Norte’s new ‘Landnav”’ product which is designed to provide high accuracy dynamic positioning in support of precise agricultural chemical applications. ‘Precision Farming’ involves the collection of crop yield and soil condition data as it varies with location in the field, and the application of this data to vary the mix and composition of chemicals - fertilizers, etc. - as they are applied. GPS positioning provides the base location data in this process, and for some applications accuracy of 3Ocm or better is required. Del Norte’s Landnav”, by using proprietary, statistical RTWOTF techniques (patent pending), can achieve this accuracy at relatively low cost. |
