Abstract: Aeropuertos Espaholes y Navegacion ACrea (AENA) is participating in the effort to investigate the operational performances of using GPS/DGPS as nav-aid for in-route, approach and landing operations. With that objective in mind a fully operational test platform has been developed by the Spanish company GMV S.A. under an AENA contract and installed in Matacan airport (Salamanca-Spain) where ground MLS-DME/P stations had been already deployed by AENA. The test platform consists of the required DGPS facilities at Matacan airport and two aircraft (Beechcraft King Air) fully equipped with MLS- DME/P and GPS-DGPS navigation systems. The whole airborne equipment is interfaced with the standard copckit displays as HSI, AD1 and ID. This paper describes major components and architecture of the test platform and the results obtained during firsts test flights performed.
