Abstract: | This paper attempts to evaluate the advantages and dis- advantages of several different techniques which have been developed over the last several years for ambiguity resolu- tion on the fly, AROF. Each of the authors has participated in developing AROF techniques and in improving their computational speed. The information content of the code and carrier-phase measurements is evaluated, and then the various techniques are categorized and assessed in terms of their strengths and weaknesses and in how they make use of the measurement information. In a brief section at the end of the paper, the current approach used by Leica is evaluated in terms of the data span needed to resolve the carrier-phase ambiguities. |
