Abstract: The 746th Test Squadron conducted a series of tests designed to certify the F/A-22 Global Inertial Navigation System (GINS) meets its performance requirements and is ready for operational test and evaluation. The tests evaluated F/A-22 Global Positioning System (GPS), Inertial Navigation System (INS), and blended GPS/INS navigation performance in static and dynamic environments utilizing the C-12J, A/T-38B, and Land Navigation Vehicle test beds. The tests were conducted at Holloman Air Force Base New Mexico from 21 May 2001 through 20 July 2002. This paper describes the unit under test, the test objectives and strategy, and presents the results of the ground and flight tests.
