The Use of Standardized Network RTK Messages in Rover Applications for Surveying

H.J. Euler, B.E. Zebhauser

Abstract: Over the several years standardization of RTCM Network RTK have been discussed. The most recent proposals show a convergence in the contents and application of the messages. In Euler et al. (2002) the different proposals have been evaluated in detail. The throughput and efficiency of the approaches were rated. The current paper investigates the potential of the approaches for actual rover applications within permanent reference station networks. Formulas, limitations, and preliminary results are outlined. A simple example using several reference stations is included.
